Terry Mentor Program, University of Georgia

The Terry Mentor Program has been at sea for Global Social Media Marketing to give back to the Terry College of Business School and also allow internship experience with the company. It allows students and alumni to be matched as mentor/mentee pairs for the academic year (September-May). Each year, Terry uses a matching algorithm to connect students with alumni based on the SignUp questions each user answered. A monthly Touchpoint between mentors and mentees participating in the program is suggested and you are matched will receive monthly email communication called “Mentorship Mondays” that will assist in your goal planning and communication.

Students and alumni are paired as a mentee/mentor pair using a matching algorithm based on questionnaires filled out by each user at SignUp. The Terry Mentor Program exists to allow students to gain insight and guidance from experienced Terry alumni in their desired industry or career path. This allows for both parties to benefit as learning goes in both direction, mentor to mentee and vice versa.
