If you’ve been researching GoHighLevel reviews, you’re probably trying to figure out three things: what it actually does, whether it’s worth the price, and if it can really help your business.
So instead of giving you another “this software changed my life overnight” review, I want to give you something a little more useful. Before we get started, I want to share a bit about my background so you understand where this GoHighLevel review is coming from. My name is Benjamin Kepner, and I’m the CEO of Global Social Media Marketing, a U.S.-based marketing agency, as well as Suite Courses, a marketing e-learning platform. I’ve been working in the marketing industry for over 15 years, helping businesses generate leads, grow their revenue, and improve their marketing and automation systems. I’ve personally been using GoHighLevel for over 6 years. We use it extensively inside our agency, for our clients, and for our e-learning platform.
To be transparent, I’m also a HighLevel affiliate. If you want to try it out, you can use my link in the description. With my affiliate link, you can get a 30-day Free trial instead of a 14-day free trial. But this isn’t a review based on a free trial, or a weekend of clicking random buttons and pretending to be an expert. It’s based on years of real-world experience using the platform across multiple businesses and client accounts. We’ll cover what it does well, who it’s best suited for, and whether it’s actually worth your money. By the end of this video, you’ll know whether GoHighLevel is the right fit for your business.

WHAT IS GOHIGHLEVEL?
GoHighLevel (often called HighLevel) is an all-in-one sales, marketing, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform designed specifically for marketing agencies, consultants, and service-based businesses. It consolidates an entire tech stack into a single, unified dashboard that can replace expensive and scattered tools. Instead of having: One platform for your CRM, another for email marketing, another for landing pages, another for appointment scheduling, another for automation, and another one you forgot you were still paying for, GoHighLevel brings everything together under one roof. The goal is simple:
- Fewer logins.
- Fewer subscriptions.
- Fewer integrations breaking at 2 a.m.
- And fewer headaches.
Now, that sounds fantastic in theory. The real question is: Does it actually work that way in practice? Let’s find out.
WHO IS GOHIGHLEVEL REALLY FOR?
Before we talk about features, let’s talk about who this platform is actually built for. In my opinion, GoHighLevel is ideal for:
- Marketing agencies.
- Small to medium-sized businesses
- Entrepreneurs
- Coaching Businesses
- Freelancers managing multiple clients.
- Local service companies that rely on appointments, leads, and follow-up automation.
If you’re actively generating leads and managing customer relationships, you’ll probably find a lot of value here.
FEATURE 1: CRM AND PIPELINE MANAGEMENT
Let’s start with one of the most important features: the CRM. This is where all your contacts, leads, and opportunities live. Currently, we have over 23,178 contacts in our database. Managing that many contacts manually would be a nightmare. The reason it’s manageable is that HighLevel CRM effectively organizes and segments contacts.
We use tags extensively. If someone is a roofing lead, we add a roofing tag. If someone is related to guest posting, we add a “guest post” tag. Tags help to segment contacts, personalize communication, and engage with the right people at the right time. As your database grows, proper tagging becomes incredibly important. Without it, your CRM contacts will become difficult to organize or market to effectively.

Another feature I use regularly is Smart Lists. Smart Lists automatically group contacts based on specific criteria. For example, you can create lists for leads with certain tags, pipeline stage, or specific actions. This makes finding and managing contacts much faster. HighLevel also supports importing and exporting contacts, which is essential if you’re migrating from another CRM or need to work with your data outside the platform. You can also create custom fields to store information unique to your business, such as service type, lead source, monthly budget, industry, or any other data point.

Next is bulk actions. Instead of updating contacts one at a time, you can perform bulk actions across large groups of contacts. For example, you can:
- Merge contacts.
- Import or export records.
- Delete contacts.
- Add or remove tags.
- Send emails and SMS messages.
- And update records in bulk.
This may not sound exciting, but when you’re managing thousands of contacts, these features can save hours of administrative work. With the Highlevel Opportunities feature, you can organize prospects into different stages of your sales process. For example:
- New Lead.
- Contacted.
- Appointment Scheduled.
- Proposal Sent.
- Closed Won.
- Closed Lost.
Simple? Yes. Useful? Absolutely.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that businesses often lose leads because they lose track of them. A CRM helps prevent that. One thing I particularly like is how easy it is to identify bottlenecks with pipelines. If leads are piling up in one stage and not moving forward, you can spot the problem quickly. Overall, the CRM is solid and practical, and it does exactly what we need it to do.
FEATURE 2: MARKETING AUTOMATION
Now let’s talk about what many people consider HighLevel’s biggest strength: Automation. This is where things start getting interesting. Imagine someone fills out a form on your website. Automatically:
- They receive a text message.
- They receive an email.
- They’re added to your CRM.
- A task is created.
- Your sales team gets notified.
- And follow-up sequences begin.

All without any manual action after setup. The only real effort happens once, when you build the workflow. After that, it runs in the background automatically. Automation is one of those things that’s incredibly boring to set up and incredibly exciting once it’s working. It’s like meal prepping. Nobody enjoys doing it. But everyone enjoys a meal. GoHighLevel’s Workflow feature is what powers this. It allows you to design a process once and let the system execute it based on predefined triggers and conditions.

One of the biggest challenges we faced before using HighLevel was the manual handling of repetitive marketing tasks. Many of these tasks weren’t difficult; they were just repetitive. And when you’re repeating the same processes every day, those hours add up quickly. Hours that could be spent generating leads, closing sales, or serving clients. Highlevel automation workflows helped us solve that problem. Automating lead follow-up and client communication has helped us create more consistent systems and reduce manual work across multiple accounts. For businesses that rely on lead generation, this can dramatically improve response times and conversion rates. The reality is that many businesses lose opportunities simply because they don’t follow up quickly enough. Automation helps solve that problem.
FEATURE 3: BUILDING CAPABILITIES
Another major feature is the builder section inside HighLevel. This is one of the areas where the platform has expanded significantly over the years. Today, you can create: Sales Funnels, Forms, Surveys, Full websites, Online stores, Blogs, Webinars, and many more in Highlevel. One thing I really appreciate is that GoHighLevel includes pre-made templates for almost everything. Whether you’re creating a form, survey, landing page, sales funnel, or website, to help you get started faster. This can save a tremendous amount of time compared to building everything from scratch.

Earlier, we used a premium WPForms plugin. It worked well, but it added another recurring subscription. After moving to HighLevel, we rebuilt all our forms inside the platform and discontinued WPForms entirely. Now, we either embed these forms into our WordPress site or use them directly inside HighLevel Sales funnels.
In addition to forms and surveys, you can build an entire website with HighLevel. Personally, we’re not currently using the website builder because we already have an established WordPress website.

But we use Highlevel sales funnel builder a lot. The best thing about HighLevel is that you can create unlimited sales funnels, unlike other marketing tools. Highlevel comes with a built-in drag-and-drop builder to easily create sales funnel pages.

You can either host your funnel page on HighLevel or use the LeadConnector plugin to embed funnel pages on your WordPress site. Also, we can integrate the tracking codes into sales funnels for measuring results at every stage.

And the biggest advantage is convenience. Everything is connected. Your forms. Your CRM. Your automations. Your lead tracking. Your Sales Funnel. It’s all part of one ecosystem. That means less time connecting software and less time wondering why one integration suddenly stopped working after an update. If you’ve ever spent an afternoon troubleshooting software connections, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
FEATURE 4: APPOINTMENT BOOKING
If your business relies on consultations, demos, discovery calls, or sales meetings, appointment booking can be extremely useful. And this is actually something we’ve implemented inside our own agency. We offer free consultation calls to prospective clients who are interested in our services. Before automating the process, there was always a lot of back-and-forth communication trying to find a time that worked for everyone.
You know how it goes:
- “Are you available Tuesday?”
- “No, how about Wednesday?”
- “Not Wednesday.”
- “What about Thursday?”
To get rid of this situation, we automated the appointment booking process with HighLevel and Calendly. We have a dedicated Highlevel sales funnel that is integrated with our Calendly account and Highlevel automation.

The system can send:
- Confirmation emails.
- Text reminders.
- Follow-up messages.
- Calendar invitations.
- And automated reminders.
Simple feature. Big impact.
FEATURE 5: COURSE CREATION AND SELLING
One feature that often gets overlooked is GoHighLevel’s ability to create and sell online courses. If you’re a coach, consultant, educator, agency owner, or creator looking to monetize your expertise, this can be a valuable addition. You can structure courses into modules, drip lessons over time, and control access based on purchases or membership levels.
HighLevel also lets you sell these courses directly by integrating Stripe for payments and building checkout pages within the platform. It also has coupon features for offering discounts to your students.

We previously used SamCart to host and sell our courses. It worked well, but once GoHighLevel introduced its course and membership features, we tested the switch. After evaluating both, we moved our courses into HighLevel and canceled SamCart, which was costing us around $349 per year. If we can remove a tool without losing core functionality, that’s an easy decision.

To be transparent, the course builder itself is relatively simple. It doesn’t have the same depth of Learning Management System (LMS) platforms like Kajabi, Thinkific, or Teachable. These solutions offer advanced learning paths, student engagement, or customization features. If you’re building a full-scale online education business with complex course structures, a dedicated LMS may still be a better fit. But for most businesses that just need to host courses, deliver content, and sell digital products, HighLevel handles it well.
Another advantage is that the platform continues to improve. And, maybe in the future, Highlevel can add more advanced functionalities to power their course creation and selling features. But what makes it especially powerful right now is how tightly it connects courses with the rest of the HighLevel ecosystem. A single user flow can include opt-ins through funnels, course purchases, automated onboarding emails, instant membership access, and ongoing nurture campaigns, all without needing separate tools.
FEATURE 6: EMAIL MARKETING & MULTI-CHANNEL CAMPAIGNS
Previously, we were paying for separate tools to build and send email campaigns. With GoHighLevel, all of that is built directly into the platform, so we no longer use a separate email marketing tool. You can create and manage full email campaigns inside the dashboard. There is a drag-and-drop builder to easily build your email campaigns. You can mark your email campaigns as a template for reuse. There are features for scheduling, choosing a specific audience, and setting up UTM tracking links for your email campaigns.

But what makes it more powerful is that it’s not limited to email. You can also run campaigns across SMS, Facebook Messenger, voicemail drops, and even automated phone calls, all from the same system. This becomes especially useful for follow-ups. For example, if someone doesn’t respond to an email, you can automatically trigger an SMS or another channel to continue the conversation. Everything is managed through the same workflows, which keeps communication consistent and automated without switching between tools. HighLevel also integrates with Twilio, allowing you to handle calls and SMS directly through the platform if needed. From our experience, this not only reduced costs but also simplified how we manage multi-channel marketing and follow-ups across different campaigns and clients.
FEATURE 7: AI Features
One area where GoHighLevel has invested heavily over the last few years is AI. While some AI features are still in Beta and require manual activation, many are already live and available inside the platform today.
Here are some of the standout AI tools currently available in HighLevel:
- Voice AI helps businesses answer inbound calls, qualify leads, answer common questions, and even book appointments automatically, so you never miss an opportunity, even outside business hours.
- Conversation AI powers AI chatbots that can engage website visitors, answer questions, nurture leads, and support customers 24/7 with human-like conversations.
- Reviews AI helps manage your online reputation by generating responses to customer reviews, saving time while maintaining consistent engagement across review platforms.
- Funnel AI can generate sales funnels in seconds. Simply provide a prompt, and HighLevel can create funnel structures, copy, and layouts to accelerate launches.
- Content AI assists with creating marketing content, including ad copy, emails, social posts, blogs, and creative ideas, helping teams produce content much faster.
- Workflow AI makes automation building easier by allowing you to create workflows using simple instructions instead of manually configuring every step.
What I personally like is that the Highlevel AI tools aren’t isolated products. They’re integrated throughout the platform. Whether you’re creating content, responding to leads, managing reviews, building funnels, or creating automations, AI is embedded into the workflows you’re already using. While we haven’t fully implemented every AI feature in our agency yet, we’re exploring them to use for both our internal operations and client accounts. That said, AI isn’t magic. You’ll still get the best results when you provide clear instructions, train your AI tools properly, and review important outputs before publishing or sending them. Think of AI as an assistant that helps you work faster, not a replacement for strategy and human oversight.
IS GOHIGHLEVEL WORTH THE PRICE?
At first glance, GoHighLevel may seem expensive compared to a single-purpose tool. But that’s not really the right comparison. The real value comes from the number of tools it can replace, including CRM software, email marketing platforms, funnel builders, appointment scheduling tools, course platforms, and automation software.

That’s one of the main reasons agencies and businesses adopt HighLevel. Instead of managing multiple subscriptions, you can run most of your marketing and sales operations from a single platform. GoHighLevel is also highly popular among marketing agencies and freelancers for its “white-labeling” capabilities. Agencies or freelancers can rebrand the entire platform with their own logo and company name, and resell it to small business clients as their own software-as-a-service (SaaS). This allows agencies to create recurring revenue streams while providing their clients with a centralized tool to manage their leads and marketing.
At Global Social Media Marketing, we’re currently using the Unlimited Plan, which costs $297 per month. For us, it’s an easy investment to justify because we actively use multiple features across our agency and client accounts. The Unlimited Plan is perfect for agencies because it lets you create unlimited sub-accounts under a single GoHighLevel license. Instead of purchasing a separate subscription for every client, you can create a dedicated account for each client within your existing plan. Each sub-account has its own contacts, funnels, websites, automations, and reporting, while you manage everything from one central dashboard.
As your agency grows, you can onboard new clients without increasing your software licensing costs. If you’re an individual business, freelancer, or consultant, the Starter Plan is usually a great place to begin. At $97 per month. It also allows you to create up to three sub-accounts, which is more than enough if you’re not an agency.
If you’re looking to consolidate multiple tools or manage multiple businesses or client accounts from a single platform, the value of Highlevel is justified.
WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT HIGHLEVEL?
1) Consolidation:
Managing multiple tools gets expensive and complicated. One platform is often easier than managing five or six separate systems. Plus, your CFO or COO will appreciate seeing fewer software subscriptions every month.
2) Automation Capabilities
The automation engine is powerful and can automate a wide range of business processes. Once it’s set up correctly, it can save an enormous amount of time.
3) Agency-Focused Platform:
Unlike most CRM and marketing platforms, which are designed primarily for individual businesses. HighLevel is also perfect for agencies. One of its biggest advantages is creating unlimited client sub-accounts under a single license. Instead of paying for separate software subscriptions for every client, you can give each client their own dedicated account. This makes GoHighLevel significantly more scalable, cost-effective, and profitable as your agency grows. This is also great for businesses with multiple locations.
4) Continuously Evolving Platform:
Another thing I genuinely appreciate is that HighLevel is constantly improving. The development team regularly releases new features, enhancements, integrations, and updates. In fact, many of the features available today didn’t exist when I first started using the platform six years ago. HighLevel continues to evolve based on user feedback and changing market needs. For long-term users, that’s a significant benefit because the platform keeps getting better without requiring you to switch systems every few years.
FINAL VERDICT
So, is GoHighLevel worth it in 2026? 100% Yes!
If you’re looking for a platform that combines CRM, Sales, Marketing, marketing automation, and AI under one roof, HighLevel’s AI ecosystem is becoming one of its strongest competitive advantages. Not because it’s perfect. Not because it’s the cheapest option. And definitely not because it’s the easiest software to learn. But because it solves a real problem. It centralizes systems, improves automation, streamlines lead management, and supports digital product and course sales. It helps businesses create more consistent processes. After using the platform for more than six years across our agency, our clients, and our e-learning business, I can confidently say that HighLevel has become a core part of our operations. That doesn’t mean it’s 100% perfect. And it doesn’t mean it’s the right solution for everyone.
I hope this review helped you get a clearer picture of what GoHighLevel actually offers. If you’re considering the platform and want to test it yourself, I’ve included a 30-day free trial link below so you can explore the features firsthand and determine whether it’s a good fit for you.
